17 December 2000 – Sunday

Arrival to your Hotel (you are going to be informed  about it's name). Relax and enjoy your stay till tomorrow when you are going to be picked up for your tour.

18 December 2000 – Monday

Following breakfast, we are heading to the old city to visit the “Hippodrome”, once upon a time 100.000 spectators were watching at the chariot races and the gladiator fights. Highlight of this visit is the obelisk that was built 5.000 years before in Egypt and transported to Ýstanbul by the Roman Empire. Then, we are going to walk Blue Mosque next to Hippodrome. This mosque is famous with its delicate blue ceramic tiles which is one of   the   “master pieces”  of  the Ottoman  Empire.  After  this,  we  will  visit  Saint  Sophia  church. This  church  – converted to mosque – turned to museum later, takes breath away with its sheer architectural size of its interior and magnificent dome. After then, we will proceed towards the spectacular Topkapý Palace, built on one of the seven hills of Ýstanbul City. This huge complex commands the views of the Marmara Sea, the Bosphorus and the Golden Horn. Lunch will be served at the Imperial Terrace of the palace with the best panoramic site of Ýstanbul city. Finally, we will go to the Grand Bazaar which is the most attractive shopping center and the biggest “soak” in the world with nearly 4000 shops antiquities, jewelry, gold, carpets and leather wear. After we have finished our program for today we are going back to our Hotel for dinner and overnight.

19 December 2000 – Tuesday

Departure from your hotel after breakfast for visit to the aromatic Spice Bazaar, where the scents of cinnamon cloves and thyme rise from hundreds of colorful muslin bags at every store – front. Then take a look at the Süleymaniye mosque dedicated in the name of Süleyman the Magnificent who was the most famous Ottoman Sultan of whose reign lasted about fifty years. After lunch we are going to drive to Ankara on the highway which is about 450 kilometers and takes approximately six hours. After arrival in Ankara we will leave you to your Hotel.
